The 30-Hour outreach course covers specific OSHA requirements as they apply to the construction industry and teaches safety awareness which helps in recognizing and reducing the risks of job site hazards. This interactive training covers safety and health hazards workers may face on construction work sites. The course puts emphasis on hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention and is intended for supervisors or workers who have some safety responsibility.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a 30-Hour Construction Outreach course completion card.

The Federal and State Employment Law classes over the next 10 weeks will completely familiarize the student in all phases of both federal and state employment law. Although the classes are for the novice employer, they will be of immense value to any seasoned employer. The following are the topics to be covered:
Week 1 – Wage and Hour Law
Week 2 – Hiring Techniques and the Law
Week 3 – How to Avoid a Wrongful Termination Lawsuit
Week 4 – Immigration and the Law
Week 5 – Workers’ Compensation Abuse and Fraud
Week 6 – Discrimination and Harassment Issues
Week 7 – Safety Issues and the Injury & Illness Prevention Plan
Week 8 – Covid 19
Week 9 – Documentation, Evaluations and Employee Handbooks
Week 10 – Violence in the Workplace
These classes will include lectures with highly interactive and dynamic role-plays, scenarios, problem solving exercises to captivate the students’ interest. Each student will receive a comprehensive handout summarizing the important points of each topic. The benefit to the students is a comprehensive understanding of each of these topics as well as the forms to be used by employers
