Federal and State Employment Law
Tuesdays, September 5 - November 7, 2023

The Federal and State Employment Law classes over the next 10 weeks will completely familiarize the student in all phases of both federal and state employment law.  Although the classes are for the novice employer, they will be of immense value to any seasoned employer.

OSHA 30 For Construction
Wednesdays, September 6 - November 15, 2023
@ 7 pm - 10 pm

The 30-Hour outreach course covers specific OSHA requirements as they apply to the construction industry and teaches safety awareness which helps in recognizing and reducing the risks of job site hazards. This interactive training covers safety and health hazards workers may face on construction work sites. The course puts emphasis on hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention and is intended for supervisors or workers who have some safety responsibility.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a 30-Hour Construction Outreach course completion card.

Introduction to Building Construction Technology
Thursdays, September 7 - November 16, 2023

Buildings are complex constructs containing many materials, components, assemblies, and components. There are many different types of structural systems, exterior envelopes, and internal systems available for use in buildings. It is important that a construction manager have a basic understanding of these building construction technologies to be effective in constructing a building. This introductory class explores the various kinds of building components, systems, and assemblies that are typically used in building projects from residential to high-rise. Students will be able to recognize basic building structural systems, building operating systems, and related building assemblies.

Certificate Requirements

To be awarded the Construction Management Certificate, students are invited to participate in 180 hours of enriching classroom instruction. The majority of courses in this Certificate Program span 30 hours, divided into 10 engaging sessions throughout a semester.
