About

Dr. Andy Wallace completed his doctorate in philosophy at the University of California, San Diego, where he specialized in moral theory, practice and psychology.  Andy has taught at the University of Chicago, Boston College and the University of Frankfurt.  Andy is a certified CCT instructor. He also completed a teacher training program through the Mindful Awareness Research Center at UCLA and is a certified mindfulness facilitator who specializes in trauma-informed secular approaches to meditation. Dr. Wallace has over 20 years of teaching experience in higher education.  He writes and lectures on mindfulness and compassion. 

Dr. Wallace’s current focus is on the psycho-physical connections between love and awareness.  He draws upon empirical research in affective neuroscience, interpersonal neurobiology, social psychology and clinical psychology to understand the role of the care-giving system in effecting self-awareness, emotional intelligence and well-being.
